Jeep offers new capped-price servicing deal

Jeep Australia has restructured its capped-price servicing program with the intention of giving customers a better long-term ownership deal.

According to the US importer, "...each 2020 Jeep model" will have a capped-price service cost "from just $399" per annual service.

Jeep vehicles have 12-month or 15,000km/20,000km service intervals for petrol/diesel engines. The warranty updates apply to all models, including the hard core Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and are designed to reduce vehicle running costs.

The US-based 4WD brand rejigged its capped-price servicing in 2017, when it upped warranty provisions to five years.

Now it's modified its service regime again, which according to Jeep Australia managing director Kevin Flynn, was undertaken to "...intricately understand the capped-price servicing models in the Australian market to build a compelling and competitive offer for our jeep customers."

The company believes that the new program will offer a significant cost in ownership to provide "greater peace of mind and stronger confidence with the servicing of their new vehicles."

The capped-price servicing arrangement compares with competitive brands such as Mitsubishi, which offers capped price servicing for its Pajero Sport SUV at $299 per service for three years, Ford, which offers a $299 per service deal for its Everest model for the first four years and Mazda CX-9, which offers minimally-variable serving costs over the first four years at $356 and $400 respectively.
