Jeep previews Moab concepts

Two striking new off-road concepts previewed ahead of this weekend's Easter Jeep Safari

Jeep
has revealed teaser renderings of two of the six new concept vehicles it will unveil at the 47th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, over March 23-31.

As is now customary for Jeep at this time of year, the legendary American off-brand has again teamed with Chrysler’s go-faster Mopar division to create a clutch of futuristic concepts to display at Jeep’s biggest annual enthusiast event.

First is the Jeep Grand Cherokee ‘Trailhawk II’ concept, which is a further development of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk limited-edition released this week in Australia.

Like the existing Trailhawk special, Jeep’s latest Grand Cherokee concept wears matt-black lower bumper, wheel-arch and side step extensions plus exposed front tow hooks, but adds bright orange paintwork, LED headlight elements and a matt-black grille with silver vertical bars, plus matt-black window surrounds, mirrors and door-handles.

The Jeep Wrangler ‘Slim’ concept, meantime, appears to be a modified short-wheelbase two-door Wrangler soft-top with a serious lift kit, chunky off-road tyres on colour-coded alloy wheels and a slim-line front-end featuring an integrated matt-black front bumper, grille and wheel-arches.

Jeep says it will reveal more details and its other four Moab concepts soon.
