Jeep Wrangler Overland brings the bling
American off-road brand Jeep has released an up-spec premium Wrangler with more comfort, convenience and a bit more blingJeep has added a premium model to its Wrangler range, injecting a touch of razzle-dazzle to its rugged off-roader just in time for Christmas.
Dubbed the Overland and available in Jeep showrooms now, the new model is packaged exclusively with Jeep's Pentastar V6 petrol engine and comes with leather-trimmed seats, automatic headlights and a reversing camera.
Adding “new levels of comfort and convenience to Jeep’s iconic off-roader,” the Overland’s more luxurious interior fit-out also includes heated front seats, new interior accents, Uconnect Media Centre and satellite-navigation.
The hard-core 4WD's exterior design has also been altered to turn more heads, featuring body-coloured wheel-arch flares and a matching colour-coded three-piece hard-top, while the wheels are new 18-inch alloys shod with Bridgestone Dueler tyres. A premium black Sunrider soft-top is also part of the standard kit.
The new Jeep Wrangler Overland variant is offered in both two-door and 'Unlimited' four-door body styles and power comes from Jeep's 3.6-litre petrol V6, which churns out 209kW/347Nm via five-speed automatic gearbox.
Pricing starts from $42,500 - $500 less than the top-shelf Wrangler Rubicon two-door soft-top (from $43,000) – and extends to $47,000 for the four-door, making it the same price as the flagship Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
