Kahn teases Aston-based Vengeance supercar

British car tuner, Kahn, has teased a picture of the new V12 sportscar it hopes to make.

Called the WB12 (Wide Body) Vengeance, the new two-door sportscar is thought to be based on Aston Martin’s DB9 that first went on sale back in 2003.

That means, if the Bradford-based tuner goes ahead and puts the Vengeance into limited production, it will feature the same 335kW 5.9-litre V12 and six-speed automatic transmission that came standard with Aston’s coupe.

That would mean the Vengeance is likely to have the same 4.9sec 0-100km/h time, although, with a history of tuning Land Rovers and Range Rovers we wouldn’t be surprised if the Aston's V12 receives a healthy power boost and the Vengeance is quicker still.

The arrival of the new Kahn-badged supercar, as well as the range of Land Rover Defender-based Huntsman range of vehicles, shows a shift from Kahn's core business of wild bodykits and personalised interiors to a luxury coachbuilder.

Created out of hand-beaten aluminium that was once the preserve of coachbuilt Bentley’s and Rolls-Royces’ right up to the 1950s, the Vengeance sportscar will be re-bodied in Coventry, West Midlands in the UK.

Expect Kahn to release more pictures and full details of the supercar concept in a few weeks.
