Kahn Design has announced it is developing a high-end rival for the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet that's based on its Flying Huntsman 6x6 Hardtop it launched at the 2015 Geneva motor show.
Posting renderings of the forthcoming Flying Huntsman Soft Top on the Bradford based tuner and coachbuilder's Facebook account, Kahn hasn't released any more details on its Land Rover Defender-based creation but it appears from the images it will have an electric folding rear hood.
Under the bonnet, it's likely the six-wheel SUV will come with the same 320kW 6.2-litre V8 as the original Huntsman – that has a 400mm longer snout to accommodate the V8, compared to a regular Defender.
Since it has a soft top, the Hardtop's armour body option is unlikely to be an option, but inside expect the Huntsman to be almost as luxurious as its German counterpart - and almost as expensive with pricing expected to be in excess of £275,000 ($A490,000).
