KIA BEATS PROST TO WORLD TITLE

Kia has taken out on of the world's most exciting motor racing series, The Andros Trophy. The ice-bound series, pits some of the world's best drivers head-to-head on ice short-tracks.

The 2005/06 series has been clinched by Kia driver and touring car ace, Yvan Muller. Muller's car was purpose-built for the series, A 'silhouette' class, the racer features four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steer and a high-revving V6 petrol engine.

Muller beat former F1 Grand Prix World Champion Alain Prost (Toyota) and took home the championship for the third successive year.

The Kia team wrapped up the title with a tactical performance in Super-Besse, high in the French Alps, recording solid placings in both round races and securing enough points for Muller to win his tenth ice racing title.

Said Muller: "It was the hardest ice racing season in my career, and surely the most beautiful victory, even if I had to play a game I'm not used to. During the last three seasons, the team proved we could beat everybody, dominating in 2004 and 2005, or playing tactics and nerve breaking games this season"

Muller and the Kmotorsport team now go to Paris and the Stade de France for the final event of the season - a non-championship round on a specially created ice-track at the country's national stadium on March 18.
