If you think KIA's new Multi-S concept car looks production ready, then accept our congratulations. According to the official line, the concept car is a taste of what the Korean car maker believes is going to be a whole new vehicle class -- the Crossover Utility Vehicle, or CUV. In reality, the Multi-S is a spruced up version of the vehicle set to debut in the near future as the new Kia Carens.
The Carens is aimed at the European market and is a compact MPV. It rolls on a modified version of the platform Australian's know as the Cerato.
Kia says the Multi-S concept has "the flexible space of a small people mover, the style and driving height of a four wheel drive and the convenience and ease of use of a medium sized hatchback." The vehicle features innovative storage areas, a multi-panel glass roof and a surround sound mobile cinema system, says Kia.
Sources suggest the new Carens may arrive in Australia next year.
