Kia readies Pro-cee'd for production

It's more subdued than the original concept unveiled in Paris last year, but the production-ready version of Kia's Pro-cee'd has retained most of the styling flair of the concept and introduced some real-world practicality.

Along with a new coupe concept (more here), the Pro-cee'd three-door will take centre stage at the Frankfurt International Motor Show on September 11.

The design is entirely the work of Kia's Europe-based studio under the leadership of design honcho Peter Schreyer.

Barely two months later, production will commence at Kia's facility in Slovakia and the car will join the five-door cee'd and wagon on sale early next year.
