Kia Australia has announced a new variant of its large Sorento SUV, the Si Limited, based on the entry-level Si.
Available with 3.3-litre V6 petrol front-wheel drive and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel all-wheel drive powertrains – both matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, the Si Limited is priced at $43,990 and $47,990 plus on-road costs respectively.
Although those prices are $3000 more than the entry-level Si ($40,990 petrol, $44,990 diesel), Kia claims the Si Limited brings $3000 of extra standard equipment for no extra cost.
Curiously, it says the drive-away price for both the Si and Si Limited will be the same ($45,219 drive-away petrol for a Sydney customer, for example).
Effectively, that means Si Limited customers get additional features for the same drive-away price as buyers of the base Si, including 18-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, leather appointed seat trim, a premium steering wheel with wood-look trim and exclusive Limited badging.
The Sorento Si Limited is available in Clear White and three premium paint colours — Aurora Black, Silky Silver and Snow White Pearl.
Naturally, like all Kia models, the Sorento Si Limited comes with Kia's industry-leading seven-year warranty, capped-price service and roadside assistance program.
