Kim too sexy for NZ
Nissan has pulled advertisements for its Tiida small car starring Kim Cattrall in New ZealandAdvertisements for the Nissan Tiida starring Kim cattrall have been taken from New Zealand television airtime.
The company said it decided to stop using the 'Sex and the City' star to promote the Tiida after receiving several complaints from NZ viewers.
The ad was approved by New Zealand's Television Commercial Approvals Bureau before braodcast, despite Kim's sexually suggestive script.
It seems Kiwi viewers have a problem with Kim's lines in the advertisement such as: "Why didn't you tell me it was so big?" and "Ah! That was amazing. Absolutely fabulous! I mean the great body and the way you moved it." Nissan reportedly decided to pull the advertisement before it was asked.
"We made this decision in the interest of self-regulation and in response to public feedback," Nissan said.
While Kiwi viewers have taken offence to Kim's enthusiasm for the Tiida, NZ's Advertising Standards Complaints Board reports no complaints about the Australian tourism campaign "Where the bloody hell are you?" which was banned in the UK.
