Kumho has announced that independent retail tyre chain Bob Jane T-Marts is now selling the budget-brand Korean tyres. The tyre retailer was established by famed Aussie touring car driver of the 1960s and 70s, Bob Jane, and continues to maintain the connection to the eponymous founder through family management of the chain.
With the retailer now stocking the Kumho brand, Australian buyers are able to choose from the extensive range of tyres to suit their cars, offroad vehicles, light commercials, trucks and buses -- through a name they know.
"While Kumho tyres are already available through more than 600 tyre stores in Australia, Bob Jane T-Marts is the largest independent chain and has earned a reputation as a professional and selective tyre retailer only stocking the best quality brands and delivering top quality service," said David Basha, Kumho's national sales and marketing manager.
"Ask any Australian motorist to name a tyre retailer and Bob Jane is clearly the most recognised and acknowledged pace to buy car tyres in this country."
The company claims to be the leading tyre manufacturer in Korea and one of the world's top ten tyre companies, having enjoyed steady growth since the company commenced operating in 1960. Each year, Kumho produces over 50 million tyres and employs 600 staff in research and development. Testing is carried out around the globe at facilities in South Korea, Japan, Europe and South America.
