L-plater fined for having 29 goats in the back of unregistered ute

You’ve goat to be kidding me!

An 18 year-old man has been forced to pay several fines after almost 30 goats were found on board his Nissan Navara ute.

The unaccompanied L-plater was stopped at around 8am Sunday morning on Tottenham Road, Nyngan in western NSW by the local Highway Patrol. This routine random breath test certainly delivered something a little more out of the ordinary than usual for these officers.

As well as checks showing that the man was not only an unaccompanied L-plater, he was also driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. The police officers also noticed a number of goats in the tray of the Nissan Navara ute and in its attached trailer.

It is understood that the 29 goats crammed into the ute had been illegally caught. In a Facebook post, the police stated that the ute had been unregistered since April and the goats were released.

This story is the greatest of all time.

The driver was issued with a number of penalty notices totaling $3149 including a not complete stock statement and unlawfully removing animals from a public place.
