LaFiery? Ferrari offers free fuel tank fix for LaFerrari

All LaFerraris sold worldwide will be treated to a free upgrade of the hypercar’s fuel tank as part of a global service campaign

All LaFerraris sold worldwide will be treated to a free upgrade of the hypercar’s fuel tank as part of an international 'service campaign'.

Ferrari has already begun the global service campaign, which involves upgrading the fuel tank coating on all models.

Ferrari insists the eight-hour procedure is not part of an official recall and that, untreated, the LaFerrari’s fuel tank offers no serious safety risk to owners.

Ferrari has confirmed it will foot the bill for all 499 repairs on the $1.5 million Ferrari flagship, which first went on sale back in 2013.

All examples of the 700kW LaFerrari were sold with seven years of free maintenance as standard.
