Lamborghini Huracan muscles up

German tuner supercharges latest Lambo, adds wide body kit to create 'extreme' exotic

As if the $430,000 Lamborghini Huracan wasn't fast enough already, its naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 has been fettled by German tuner Novitec to create something slightly insane.

Throw in a wide body kit that adds 120mm of extra girth and supercharge the 442kW engine to pump out an additional 191kW (633kW) and you're looking at a car that’s equal parts outrageous and appealing.

Just 25 versions of the highly modified Lamborghini Huracan, dubbed the Novitec Torado N-Largo, will be created by the German-based tuning house, and it's one of those 'if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it' propositions.

Novitec says the "especially exclusive super sports car" rides on staggered 20-inch and 21-inch front and rear wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres (245/30 front, 325/25 rear, ZR) surrounded by 60mm wider front and rear wheel arches on each side. Yep, this one's a fatty!

On top of this it gets new side skirts, front fascia and deeper rear apron complete with diffuser and 'airfoil', all of which were wind tunnel tested and are designed to improve downforce and high speed stability.

The augmented body work was fabricated from carbon-fibre to ensure the car's kerb weight doesn't balloon, while a 35mm drop in ride height gives the vehicle a ground-hugging stance. Novitec says it has also swapped in new sports springs and damper settings for those who want a race track warrior.

But perhaps the most impressive modification is out of sight behind the driver, in the mid-mounted engine bay. Lambo’s standard 5.2-litre V10 engine pumps out 448kW and 560Nm; good enough for a 3.2 second 0-100km/h sprint with launch control.

Boosted to 633kW and 960Nm, the latter available across a wider rev rang thanks to the fitment of supercharger kit, the all-wheel drive Huracan should be capable of hypercar-rivalling acceleration.

Novitec hasn't released performance figures but you’d imagine 0-100km/h times well under three seconds. Its wind-tunnel tested body kit should also see it blast past its donor car's top speed of 323km/h with ease.

Ensuring all 25 owners of this ludicrously rapid Italian coupe are heard as well as seen, Novitec offers a lightweight exhaust system made from INCONEL, an alloy used in F1 et al. It can be fitted with butterfly valves to give it a fulsome voice when required, too.

Buyers can also personalise the interior with a selection of "finest leathers and Alcantara in any desired color".
