As the supercar scene hots up, with new 'entry-level' offerings arriving soon such as the Ferrari 488 GTB ($470K) and McLaren 570S ($408K), the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 has upped its game.
Pricing for the 448kW Italian super-coupe remains unchanged at $428,000 but for model year 2016 the House of the Raging Bull's cheapest model now offers leather lashed across the door-handles and centre console, while the air-vents are finished in matte black as standard.
And for buyers who want to really stand out Lamborghini now offers its Ad Personam program for the car, allowing buyers to choose from a range of interior and exterior trims, colours and matte paints.
A Sensonum audio system with 390-Watt output is also optional, bringing 10 speakers finished with hexagonal covers, naturally. There's also an optional Lamborghini sports exhaust system with high-gloss black tailpipes.
Those wishing to highlight the Huracan's beating heart, a 5.2-litre V10, can also tick the box for LED back-lighting of the engine bay. Why not option the transparent engine cover and carbon-fibre engine compartment too?
As one of the most intuitive exotics we've ever driven at motoring.com.au is truly an everyday supercar. But the Sant'Agata-based car-maker has set out to further cement its position as the 'approachable' option by improving engine efficiency.
As standard, all Huracan cars now feature cylinder-deactivation, which shuts down one bank of cylinders, turning it from a V10 into an inline five-cylinder engine under light throttle loads. This reduces CO2 output from 290 to 283g/km and is "virtually impossible to detect" during switchover, says Lambo.
The company has also tweaked the 4WD system to deliver "a neutral and even more improved driving behaviour, particularly in Strada mode".
The Strada mode is the most relaxed setting and Lamborghini also offers a travel pack for those expecting to drive the car regularly, adding more cup-holders, storage nets and another 12-volt socket.
Lamborghini is also tipped to release a new rear-drive version of the Huracan at the Los Angeles motor show next week, expected to be named the LP 610-2.
