Lamborghini prices Huracan Spyder Performante

Most extreme Huracan roadster arrives with hefty premium

Lamborghini has announced a price of $532,635 plus on-road costs for its newly revealed Huracan Spyder Performante, first examples of which arrive in Australia in the fourth quarter of this year.

The new range-topper for Lamborghini’s ‘entry-level’ model is therefore $48,769 pricier than its fixed-roof sibling, the Huracan Performante coupe ($483,866).

At the same time, one of the world’s quickest and fastest convertibles is also $61,835 more expensive than the standard Huracan LP610-4 Spyder ($470,800) on which it’s based.

In comparison, last year’s Huracan Performante coupe -- which set a new Nurburgring Norsdscheife production car lap record until the Porsche 911 GT2 came along – landed with a $42,800 price premium over the standard Huracan LP610-4 ($428,000).

The rear-wheel drive Huracan LP580-2 continues to open the line-up at $378,900 – just under Lamborghini’s first SUV, the Urus, which arrives here around the same time priced at $390,000.

As with its coupe namesake, the Huracan Spyder Performante is about enhanced open-air handling, rather than just outright speed.

That said, its mid-mounted 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 is good for 470kW of power at 8000rpm and 600Nm of torque at 6500rpm, enabling it to hit 100km/h in 3.1 seconds (claimed) and a 325km/h top speed.

The 1507kg super-roadster is also claimed to stop from 100km/h in just 31.5 metres.
