With sales down almost 30 per cent in January Land Rover has announced a range of special offers for February. Discovery 3, Range Rover Sport and Freelander 2 all get extra value in a bid to turn around the company’s sales.
Land Rover Australia dropped 27.9 per cent during January with the Discovery taking a 28.5 per cent hit. The company knows the car is facing increasing competition in a highly competitive market and hopes its addition of a 'Technology and Bright Pack' will help entice customers back.
The pack comes at no extra cost but is valued at $9750. Internally the Discovery receives Premium navigation, Bluetooth integration, premium carpet mats and Bright gear change and cup holder surrounds. External changes include Bright front grill, Bright fender grill, Bright lower door side sills, Bright bumper tread plate trim and extended roof rails in Bright finish.
The Range Rover Sport was down 42.2 per cent in January so from now until the end of March all new 2009 models come with three years or 100,000km of free servicing.
Even the company's biggest seller, the Freelander 2, didn't escape unscathed. Sales in January were down 10.6 per cent so Land Rover Australia is throwing in free on-road costs on all new models sold until the end of March.
