Toyota has today announced the LandCruiser Altitude, a special-value addition of the company's 200 Series wagon.
The company will only build the limited-run model for four months and stresses that the model won't last forever — not when priced from $80,190 for the petrol V8 version and packed with features not normally available in the LandCruiser GXL.
Those features include the LandCruiser Sahara's 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-accented upholstery in Grey or Sand Beige, electric adjustment for both front seats and satellite navigation. The satnav system is integrated in an audio head unit featuring four-disc CD changer, MP3/WMA compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5mm input jack.
Additionally, LandCruiser Altitude can be specified with a premium, multifunction steering wheel, premium gear knob, front fog lights and coolbox, also from the flagship of the LandCruiser range, the Sahara.
Toyota dealers are stocking the car in four exterior colours: Crystal Pearl, Silver Pearl, Graphite and Blue Storm. Other than Crystal Pearl, the exterior colours are only available with the Grey-accented upholstery.
According to Toyota, the added features in the LandCruiser Altitude, which can be ordered with either petrol or diesel V8 power, more than offset the higher retail prices over those of the LandCruiser GXL variants.
