Bugatti has dropped a new teaser for what’s believed to be a wild new hypercar based on its current Bugatti Chiron ahead of its reveal on August 19 at Monterey Car Week in California.
The teaser, captioned ‘The Last of its Kind’, features striking interlinked V-shaped LED tail-lights – something that hints at a completely redesigned Chiron body.
An earlier preview focused on the mystery Bugatti’s stacked four-blade LED headlights that also suggest the still-secret car will carry unique styling, although beneath the skin it’s expected to be Bugatti’s last-ever non-electrified combustion-powered hypercar.
It’s understood that the ‘last of its kind’ could also refer to it being the last car to ride on the Chiron’s carbon-fibre monocoque.
Following the special-edition Bugatti Bolide , Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the Centodieci, the final Chiron-based creation should bridge the gap until the all-new electrified replacement to the Chiron turns up in 2024.
The French hypercar-maker is expected to gather prospective buyers at the Monterey Car Week who will be keen to snap up the last-ever combustion-only Bugatti.
