The pricing of most LDV models will rise from July 1, 2022, as the Chinese car-maker becomes the latest to be impacted by rising production and shipping costs.
The price increases vary between $526 and $1053 depending on the model, with the biggest hikes applying to the 2022 LDV T60 Max ute range and the LDV D90 SUV line-up.
See our detailed price boxes below.
The only two models to dodge the increases are the LDV G10 and LDV Deliver 9 vans.
According to a pricing table published on the LDV Automotive website, LDV T60 Max prices have climbed $1053 to start from $36,832 drive-away for the base model Pro manual. The flagship Luxe automatic will start from $43,674 drive-away.
The related LDV D90 will increase by $1000 across the board, meaning the big seven-seater large SUV will start from $37,990 drive-away for the 2WD automatic and top out at $50,990 for the Executive 4WD flagship.
As for the affected vans, all versions of the LDV G10+ and the ageing LDV V80 will rise $525 to each start from $35,779 drive-away.
Punters hoping to snag themselves a bargain before the cut-off will need to be quick. LDV has confirmed to carsales the existing pricing will only apply to new vehicle orders “if the dealer has a confirmed order and can see that it has been built and left the factory before July 1”.
If the vehicle hasn’t left the factory by July 1 then the new pricing will be applied.
As for dealer stock, the current pricing will apply to new vehicles already here and not spoken for, but you’ll be lucky to find one given each model is listed on LDV’s website as being in “limited stock”.
The diminished stock is the result of China’s prolonged COVID lockdowns which have caused headaches not only for LDV, but virtually every Chinese manufacturing operation.
“Like every OEM in Australia, LDV has been impacted by increased costs across the board, most notably material, production and shipping costs,” a local spokesperson told carsales.
“COVID lockdowns in China have impacted supply but we are seeing things improve.”
LDV doesn’t currently nominate expected waiting times on its models, stating on its website the exact period of time will depend on the model, specification and delivery location.
