Jaguar has become the latest victim of a leak of one of its hottest new models after what appears to be a genuine German brochure for the new F-TYPE SVR was leaked online by Dutch website, Autoblog.nl.
According to the brochure, the flagship F-TYPE SVR will be powered by a more powerful 423kW/700Nm version of the F-TYPE R’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with the standard car’s eight-speed automatic.
It’s not known how the extra power is generated but the SVR gains 18kW/20Nm over the standard car, which sees the all-wheel drive SVR hit 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and top out at 322km/h -- that’s 0.4 seconds quicker than the F-TYPE R AWD with a 22km/h faster top speed.
To help cope with the extra power the SVR gains large carbon ceramic brakes as standard, which also cuts 21kg off the kerb weight. A titanium exhaust also cuts 21kg, while another 10kg is saved with forged aluminium wheels.
According to the brochure, the F-TYPE SVR also gets a larger rear diffuser, new front bumper and a larger rear wing that’s said to reduce lift by as much as 80 per cent.
The new F-TYPE SVR will also be offered as a roadster.
Pricing is rumoured to begin at $200,000 in Europe.
More is expected to be revealed at the Geneva motor show on March 1.
