Details of the all-new Leapmotor A10 compact SUV have been exposed via Chinese government filings, confirming the EV's tech specs, battery and range ahead of a market launch and initial deliveries in the first half of 2026. It's likely to be sold in Australia and comes on hot on the heels of the B10 and C10 electric SUVs that are already here.

First revealed at the 2025 Guangzhou motor show in November, official pricing has not yet been confirmed.
However Chinese media estimates suggest a starting price of around $US10,000, which equates to approximately $A15,000. Local pricing is more likely to start around $25,000 to $30,000 drive-away, if it gets the nod.

One of the headline features is optional roof-mounted LiDAR, signalling support for higher-level intelligent driving assistance systems in a segment where such technology is still uncommon.
If the A10 comes to Australia, LiDAR is unlikely to be available, however.
Semi-hidden door handles and blacked-out door pillars -pillars create a floating roof effect, while buyers can choose from several 18-inch alloy wheel designs.

Power comes from a single electric motor producing 90kW and drawing current from a lithium-ion LFP battery, which supports fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent in as little as 16 minutes according to the MIIT documents.
In terms of size, the A10 is 4270mm long, 1810mm wide, 1635mm tall and rides on a 2605mm wheelbase, making it roughly the same size as a Hyundai Kona.
Pre-orders for the A10 have already begun in China and is expected to compete directly with high-volume budget EVs from Geely and BYD. The brand also launched a sporty electric hatchback recently, the Leapmotor B05.

With its combination of compact dimensions, long driving range and expected low pricing, the Leapmotor A10 entry-level SUV is shaping up as a key model for the brand’s global growth.
A spokesperson for Leapmotor Australia said the brand is "looking at all new models and will confirm any new products in future" but wouldn't officially confirm the A10's local arrival at this stage.
