Lexus already has one of the most generous aftersales programs in the luxury car arena, including a four-year warranty and free loan cars – or the ability to have your car picked up or dropped off to you – during scheduled servicing, which also includes a wash and vacuum.
As of January 1, 2020, the Lexus Encore Owner Benefits program also includes capped-price servicing for all new vehicles, plus a range of extra perks and exclusive experiences designed to deliver owners the “luxury of time”.
Lexus says there’s no up-front service plan charge and customers will pay the same amount for the first three services at any dealership in the country.
The first three services (due every 12 months or 15,000km) for the Lexus CT, UX, IS, NX, ES, GS and RC models will cost $495.
Owners of Lexus RX, RC F, GS F, LC or LS models will need to pay a little more at $595 for the first three services.
Lexus’ luxury SUV, the LX, will be priced at $495 for the first six bi-annual/10,000km logbook services – “required due to the additional componentry and heavy-duty usage of the four-wheel drive”.
Meantime, Lexus’ new certified pre-owned program will include a one-year Encore membership and includes used Lexus vehicles that: were purchased from a Lexus dealership, are no older than eight years, have less than 120,000km on the clock, include a complete service history at a Lexus dealership and were subject to a 120-point vehicle check.
The Lexus aftersales program continues to include access to the Lexus DriveCare 24-hour roadside assist program and a number of dining, hotel and luxury lifestyle experience offers to owners over the course of the three-year Encore membership.
These include exclusive track days and events, golf days and, for the first time this year, luxury wellness experiences kicking off with a two-night stay at Jackalope hotel on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula from February, including yoga, meditation and spa sessions, plus access to one of the hotel's Lexus vehicles to tour the local area.
This and other existing Encore offers will be available for members to view and book via a new smartphone app to be launched in April.
Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson says the expanded Encore program will ensure Lexus delivers a new standard in luxury vehicle ownership experience.
“Lexus understands there is no greater privilege for its owners than time, so whether it be the ease of servicing, or the enjoyment of track days, dining nights and getaways, Lexus Encore will speed up or slow down time for our owners,” he said.
