Lexus GS F to cost $148K
Big Japanese sports sedan to undercut chief German rivalsLexus' first GS F sports sedan will be priced from $148,000 plus on-road costs when it arrives in Australian showrooms next month.
That price is for the Alcantara-lined model, while a Semi-Aniline leather upholstered version will be offered for $151,700 plus ORCs.
Either way, both GS Fs will be significantly cheaper than established large German sports sedans like the BMW M5 (from $185,000) and Mercedes-AMG E 63 S ($250,650 plus ORCs).
In fact, while the GS F is only about $8000 pricier than BMW's smaller M3 sedan ($139,900), it undercuts Mercedes-AMG's mid-size C 63 S ($157,010) by more than $9000.
Both GS F variants, which top the facelifted GS large sedan line-up released in December, are powered by a 351kW/530Nm naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment for the 1825kg sedan, which consumes 11.3L/100km, will include 19-inch alloy wheels, a fully digital instrument cluster, head-up display, 12.3-inch infotainment screen and 17-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system.
