Lexus IS, ES and CT updates
Prestige marque rolls out running changes, throws in more kit and adjusts the pricingLexus has announced a raft of small but significant changes for the IS, ES and CT model ranges.
Starting with the IS models, IS 250 F Sport and Sports Luxury variants now come equipped as standard with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which is also standard – along with 18-inch alloy wheels – for the IS 300h Luxury ordered with optional enhancement packs 2 and 3. The revised models can be identified by LED fog lights specified for the Luxury and Sports Luxury variants. IS 300h now features a new design of 'hybrid' badge.
Other changes include an updated keyless entry system, Moonstone leather-accented trim in lieu of previous light grey trim, and silver highlights for air vents, clock, centre fascia, door trim and steering wheel.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert is now standard for both ES models, and the multimedia infotainment systems have been upgraded with the introduction of ENFORM connected mobility and an SD card-based navigation plug-in, alerting drivers to school zones and speed and red light cameras. A new paint colour, Titanium Silver, replaces the previous offering, Blue Pearl.
Keyless entry has been revised in the CT models, which also gain a new one-touch indicator stalk. A new colour, Sonic Quartz, replaces White Pearl, and CT Luxury variants have been restyled in the engine bay.
"Updates to the CT, IS and ES Lines improve the functionality, safety and visual appeal of these Lexus models," said Sean Hanley, Lexus Australia chief executive.
"We've added these items at little or no extra cost to consumers – further enhancing Lexus' reputation of comprehensive standard specification at outstanding value."
