What accelerates to 100km/h in less than five seconds, opens its roof in 15 seconds and has 300 billion nano-paint pigments to create an iridescent finish? The all-new Lexus LC 500 Convertible.
On sale in Australia from late 2020, the $250,000 luxury four-seat soft-top has a lavish interior design. But it's not just the super-supple leather covering almost every surface that makes it special. The seats have incredible detailing and even feature integrated neck heaters.
Even the roof design has hand-crafted elements to ensure the roof fabric has the perfect tension, and of course the roof can be opened and closed while the car is moving.
The Lexus LC 500 Convertible is built on the same production line in Japan that spawned the Lexus LFA supercar, so naturally it's festooned with exotic alloys to reduce weight. There are even active roll-bars and a horizontal Yamaha-designed performance damper within the rear bumper to reduce body twist when cornering.
And then there's the old-school 5.0-litre V8, which sounds incredible with the top dropped.
