Lexus has confirmed that it is readying an all-new replacement for the current CT 200h that will be on sale by 2021.
Confirmation of a new entry-level Lexus model comes from the car-maker's European boss Pascal Ruch in an interview with
.According to Ruch, the current CT 200h, which was introduced back in 2011, will remain on sale for another two years but will be replaced in 2021 by an all-new model.
It's not been confirmed if the Japanese premium brand plans to replace the small hatch with another like-for-like model or a baby SUV even smaller than the Lexus UX.
Set to be based on Toyota's versatile TNGA platform that underpins the latest Corolla, reports suggest that as well as a hybrid, the entry-level Lexus could come with an all-new pure-electric powertrain.
