Limited edition Subaru to go on sale in April

Brandishing 194kW and 350Nm of torque, the limited edition Subaru Liberty Spec B STI is due to hit Australian showrooms on April 8.

Only 250 sedan and wagon versions of the special Liberty GT will be made available in Australia, offering colour choices of silver, black, grey or white and sporting 18-inch Enkei multi-spoke alloy wheels.

Subaru Tecnica International catalogue provided the go-faster equipment, while an STI sports suspension package tightens the handling. The transmissions on offer are either Subaru's five-speed Sportshift automatic, or a six-speed manual.

The special edition Liberty gets a number of interior revisions including a special shift lever (auto or manual), a front lip spoiler, a new low back pressure rear muffler and various STI identifying paraphernalia including door sill plates and STI-embroidered front seats.

Recommended retail pricing
Manual sedan  $65,990
Sportshift automatic sedan $65,990
Manual wagon $67,990
Sportshift automatic wagon $67,990
