The Lexus IS sedan has received the black-out treatment, with the introduction of a new Black Line special-edition.
Available now in limited numbers, the Black Line is available in either IS 300 or IS 350 guise, priced from $69,707 and $75,522 (plus on-road costs) respectively – amounting to a $1500 premium over the F Sport models they’re based on.
A tougher look is thanks to a blacked-out grille, mirror covers and 18-inch alloy wheels, while four exterior colour options are available: White Nova, Liquid Metal, Graphite Black and Cobalt Mica.
Black Line variants also get a black and grey interior trim with Lexus’ signature blue-grey stitching and an Indigo Wood trim feature atop the steering wheel. Blue accents are also used in other parts of the cabin, around power window switches and on the dashboard.

Projector lamps are also fitted to either front door, shining the Lexus logo onto the ground upon entry.
Standard features include dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats, adaptive suspension navigation and digital radio.
Other safety gear fitted standard includes lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, auto high-beam and autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection.
An Enhancement Pack is available for IS 300 Black Line variants for an additional $4000 – adding a 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and moonroof – while IS 350 Black Line variants can option the moonroof for $2500, as they already get the upgraded sound system.

Only 105 examples of the IS 300 are available, powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol and good for 180kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
And, even fewer IS 350 Black Line vehicles are available, with just 45 on offer in Australia, each fitted with a 232kW/380Nm 3.5-litre V6.
