Lister Motor Company has revealed computer renderings of what it claims will be the world's fastest SUV when it goes on sale this October.
Called the LFP, the heavily modified Jaguar F-PACE SVR is said to be capable of exceeding a top speed of 200mph (322km/h).
To beat the Bentley Bentayga W12's video-verified 301km/h, the reborn British tuner re-engineered the standard F-PACE SVR's supercharged 5.0-litre V8 to produce more power -- almost 500kW, to be exact.
That's a considerable boost over the stock SVR, which itself produces a muscular 404kW.
Not surprisingly, the increased power (and torque) reflects well in the performance figures and the Lister Jag is significantly quicker and faster than the 4.3 seconds and 284km/h the F-PACE SVR can manage.
Lister says the all-wheel drive LFP can hit the 60mph benchmark (97km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, making it about as quick as the Lamborghini Urus, which can hit 100km/h in a claimed 3.6 seconds.
Clawing back an advantage, however, is the LFP's impossibly high top speed.
To help it beat its rivals, look closely at the new pics and you'll notice significant revisions to the aerodynamics over the standard car.
These include a complete redesign of the lower half of the front bumper, including what appears to be a double diffuser, and a more complex design for the front air intakes, plus subtle winglets at the base of the front bumper.
At the rear of the car, again, Lister has carefully incorporated a new rear diffuser and, it appears, widened the rear wheel extractor vents in the rear bumper.
Combined with a tweaked rear spoiler, Lister has worked hard to reduce drag to improve stability and increase the top speed.
As well as revising the aero, Lister is likely to have retuned the suspension to cope with the extra performance.
Reigning in all that speed is a set of huge carbon ceramic disc brakes with large callipers that have already been teased ahead of the latest rendering's reveal.
Finally, Lister has also helped cut the kerb weight of the standard SVR by using carbon-fibre body parts, although the British car-maker that first started business more than 65 years ago has yet to reveal where weight has been saved.
All will be revealed, including a full technical disclosure, this October when Lister unveils the 'real' LFP for perspective buyers.
Lister has already disclosed it will only make its F-PACE SVR-based LFP in a limited batch of 250 cars, each priced from £140,000 ($A240,000).
In the UK, Lister recently launched its F-TYPE-based LFT-666 coupe and confirmed it would be expanding its tuning business with a move to a new HQ based in the north west of England.
