Peugeot has introduced a new flagship model to its 407 range. Dubbed the 407 SV, the new model gets luxury-fit items as standard and is available as a sedan or Touring.
The 407 SV HDi is equipped with a 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine and the new six-speed automatic gearbox (read more here). Prices start at $61,990 for the sedan, and $64,990 for the Touring.
The 407 SV's standards list is impressive, including xenon headlights, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels (plus full size spare) with tyre-pressure sensors, dual-zone digital air-conditioning with climate control, leather upholstery, six-disc CD player, auto headlights and windscreen wipers and electric heated front seats with memory.
The SV HDi also gets body-coloured rub strips with chrome inserts and chrome cross bars in the front grill section. It features a sports leather steering wheel and alloy-finished front centre console, door trims and air vents.
Safety features include an electronic stabilty program with ABS, electronic brake force distribution, emergency brake assist and dynamic stability control, six airbags (driver and passenger 'SMART' airbags, front side airbags, full- length curtain airbags), retractable steering column, active front seat headrests, pre-tensioning and force limiting front seatbelts, automatic door unlocking (in the event of an accident) and automatic activation of hazard lights under emergency braking.
The 407 SV HDi is on sale now at Peugeot dealers.
