Pictures of Lynk & Co '02' SUV have leaked online more than five months ahead of its official reveal at the Beijing motor show.
The images that appeared overnight in Brit mag Autocar are of the Geely-owned car maker's second SUV and third model in the fledgling brand's line-up.
Set to go on sale in early 2020, the pictures reveal a near-production ready concept that appears to be a shrunken version of its larger 01 SUV.
Originally set for an unveiling in late April 2018, the 02 is based on the all-new CMA small car platform that was developed by Volvo.
Reported to measure in at just under 4500mm in length, the 02 is said to be 100mm shorter than the Volvo XC40's wheelbase.
Set to be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain from launch, also co-developed by the Swedish car maker, the 02 will combine an electric motor, a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, seven-speed dual-clutch auto and a lithium-ion battery pack.
The Chinese newcomer will offer a decent 80km pure-electric range.
Later on, Lynk & Co will re-engineer its baby SUV with a pure-electric powertrain delivering a range of at least 600km.
The new Chinese brand has already announced that it will launch in Europe from 2019 and will provide all its vehicles with a lifetime guarantee.
As a disruptor brand, Lynk & Co will only sell its 01, 02 and 03 sedan, direct online and will also offer consumers the option to subscribe to its innovative car-sharing scheme that could see existing owners rent out their vehicles when they're not in use.
