M Sport for 3 Coupe and Convertible

New BMW 335i M Sport models boast TwinPower technology

BMW has turbocharged the appeal of its stylish 3 Series Coupe and Convertible models with the introduction of an athletic new variant, the 335i M Sport.

Sitting one rung below the mighty M3, the new 335i M Sport Coupe and Convertible models will now be powered by BMW's muscular new 3.0-litre TwinPower petrol engine.

Combining the latest twin-turbocharging, high precision fuel injection and variable valve timing technologies, the new in-line six-cylinder unit develops the same impressive output figures as its 335i predecessor (225kW/400Nm), but with significant fuel consumption savings.

The new BMW 335i M Sport Coupe now sips just 8.4L/100km while its topless sibling uses only 8.8L/100km (figures quoted are the combined cycle average).

Available with the choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed Sports Automatic Double-Clutch transmissions, the new 335i M Sport models are capable of cracking 0-100km/h times, the seven-speed Coupe variant managing the sprint in just 5.4 seconds.

Complementing their sporting persona, a series of stylish and distinctive cosmetic upgrades will differentiate the new sports models from the remainder of the range. The enhancements, from BMW's M Sports division, include a full sports body kit, 19-inch double spoke light alloy wheels, M Sport door sills, multifunction steering wheel, aluminium trim highlights and anthracite headliner.

Upholding BMW's sporting DNA, the new 335i M Sport models are also equipped with lowered, stiffer suspension as standard (this option can be deleted if desired).

"The M Sport brand is an icon in the world of sports sedans, coupes and convertibles and with the supreme performance and dynamic driving characteristics of the 335i already established, it was fitting to build upon that with the new 3 Series Coupe and Convertible and give the cars their own distinctive performance personality," said BMW Group Australia Managing Director, Stavros Yallouridis.

Priced from $116,700 the new BMW 335i M Sport models are available next month (June).
