Want your dose of M with the wind in your hair and need a few more neddies than the Z4M can muster? BMW has released just what you’re after – a convertible version of its M6 super coupe.
Powered by the the same 373kW V10 engine that graces the M6 coupe and M5 saloon, according to BMW, the M6 Convertible “provides the open-air version of supreme power and high-performance.”
The new soft-top features the same roof and vertical retractable rear window as the conventional 6 Series convertible mated with the undeniably potent M car running gear. All the M regulars are in the package – seven-speed SMG gearbox, racing spec brakes and electronic whiz-bangery aplenty.
No news on local pricing (but expect to pay $10-15Kmore than the standard M6’s $274K pricetag), however, if you’re quick and get your order in soon you could be in your own M6 soft-top by Christmas.
