Mahindra Australia has announced a new variant will join its recently updated PikUp ute range.
The Mahindra PikUp Black Edition mHAWK dual-cab was introduced last year as a limited-edition in a run of just 50 units.
However, given its success as a halo model for the Indian car-maker’s ute range, it will now be a full-time member of the Mahindra model range.
Priced from $39,990 drive-away, the Black Edition is only available in dual-cab 4x4 pick-up configuration and in premium S10+ specification – a combination that usually cost $32,990 drive-away without the black additions.
The extra $7000 for the new Mahindra PikUp flagship brings a black steel bull bar, black side steps, black alloy sports bar, black wheel-arch flares, black decal pack, black 17-inch wheels and a black tub liner.
Standard features on top-spec S10+ variants include a 7.0-inch touch-screen with navigation, Bluetooth, reversing camera and Android Auto (no Apple CarPlay), as well as rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, hill descent control and hill hold function.
Also carried over is a 34-degree approach angle, 1095kg payload and 2.5-tonne braked towing capacity.
Four exterior colour options are available including Artic White, De-Sat Silver, Napoli Black and Red Rage.
Every Mahindra PikUp variant is powered by a 103kW/320Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel, paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission.
Mahindra Australia offers a five-year/100,000km warranty with five years of roadside assist and four-year/55,000km capped-price service program.
