If you absolutely must have BMW’s big-bore M6 Convertible for Xmas you have but one chance – a US address! Reportedly, the Bavarian brand’s 373kW V-10 open-top is sold out worldwide, save for 50 BMW Individual model M6s specified exclusively by BMW in North America for the legendary Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.
According to BMW, the NM M6s feature a custom Ruby Black exterior combined with Piano Black interior trims, power sport seats wrapped in supple custom made Gold Brown BMW Individual Merino leather and finished off with M-radial spoke alloy wheels. The cars will be offered via the mail order catalogue only.
Alas while the M6s will be available to US buyers only, Aussie buyers can specify their own BMW Individual M6 Convertible on request for delivery some time in 2007. The 2006 allocation is long gone…
FYI, the NM cars go on sale on October 18, with delivery in Europe in early 2007. Buyers will pick up their cars after a factory tour in Munich and enjoy four days driving them on a gourmet holiday in the Bavarian countryside.
If like CarPoint your Beemer budget can't stretch to the $300K plus for an Individual optioned M6, perhaps a $35 3 Series coupe’s closer to the mark!
The carmaker has just announced the availability of miniatures of the just-released two door in 1:87, 1:43 and 1:18 scales from $35. For more see your BMW dealer or online
