He’s one of the world’s best known film stars and how could anyone forget that famous Calvin Klein campaign from the 90s? So why wouldn't you want to buy a new car from Mark Wahlberg?
The Transformers star has just opened up his very own car dealership in the United States so the lyrics to his 1991 hit song Good Vibrations, that he's “Marky Mark and I'm here to move you” takes on a whole new meaning.
The Hollywood star attended the grand opening of the newly named Chevrolet dealership in Columbus, Ohio surprising staff and fans with a tour around the site and a few selfie opportunities.
“This is not a conspiracy to promote another Transformers movie.” Wahlberg joked.
The dealership will also sell 'Mark Wahlberg edition' vehicles which will feature custom embroidery, autographs and other personal touches from Mark himself. There's even talk of new in-dealer technology which will have his voice and face pop up in the dealership and while you're out on a test drive. Sign us up!
Wahlberg's had a lifelong passion for cars and wanted to be in the auto industry with his friend Jay Feldman, in what appears to be the start of a network of Mark Wahlberg branded dealerships across the country. Feldman already owns a handful of dealerships and the pair are partners in a Wahlburgers restaurant which was started by Mark’s brother Paul in 2011.
Wahlberg’s last job before hitting the big time was mechanic so you might find him back in the service department next time you drop your Silverado off for a tune up.
Now, how about a Hugh Jackman Holden, Chris Hemsworth Mazda or a Rebel Wilson Hyundai branded dealership for Australia?
