Mazda Australia has announced the Kuroi sports pack for the new 2014 Mazda3, which adds a handful of dynamic cosmetic features to the highly-anticipated new model going on sale in February.
Available for both hatch and sedan Mazda3 models, the dealer-fitted Kuroi sports pack is priced at $2678 and adds several 'brilliant black' items, including 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, side skirts and door mirror caps.
The Kuroi name is the Japanese term for black says Mazda, and the new bodykit was designed to give customers a sporty option. It can be fitted to every model in the range from the entry-level Neo to the range-topping SP25 Astina. The various part of the sports pack can also be purchased separately says Mazda.
The Japanese importer says the Kuroi package is the first time "such a comprehensive sports pack has been offered with Mazda3".
It was created by Mazda's design team in Japan, responsible for the company's Kodo design ethos which can be seen in all Mazda products.
Mazda expects the new Mazda3 to regain its best-selling status after losing the mantle to the Toyota Corolla in 2013. Having just undergone its national media launch, the Mazda3 is step up from its predecessor in almost every respect - check out the launch drive review for more insight.
