Mazzanti reveals 736kW Evantra Millecavalli
Forget Ferrari, new car-maker announces it now makes Italy's most powerful sports carMazzanti Automobili has revealed an even more powerful version of its 2013 Evantra supercar that's claimed to produce an incredible 736kW/1200Nm from its twin-turbocharged 7.2-litre V8.
Claimed to be the most powerful Italian road car ever, the small coupe is called the Evantra Millecavalli -- the last part of its name hints at the 1000 horsepower generated by its heavily modified LS7 V8.
Weighing in at less than 1300kg, the Millecavallio is claimed to reach 97km/h in just 2.7 seconds. The mid-engine, rear-wheel drive coupe is thought to have a top speed of more than 350km/h.
It's not known if the fastest Evantara carries over the standard car's six-speed automatic or if the supercar-maker has engineered its latest hypercar with a faster automated-manual or dual-clutch gearbox.
Based in Tuscany, Mazzanti is also keeping tight-lipped on how much it will charge for the Millecavalli but it has announced plans to manufacture only 25 models of the more powerful Evantara.
More is expected to be revealed following the Evantara Millecavalli's official reveal at the Turin motor show on June 8.
