The McLaren Senna is the latest car to be given the electrified kids ride-on treatment from the British sports car maker with their latest creation aimed squarely at junior racing drivers and for young performance enthusiasts.
Following on from the success of their McLaren 720S Ride-On in 2019, the new McLaren Senna Ride-On is modelled on the brand's most extreme track car bearing the name of three-time McLaren Formula 1 World Champion, Ayrton Senna.
The McLaren Senna Ride-On is available in five classic McLaren paint colours: black, white, Mira orange, Vega blue and Memphis red. A sixth special edition colour which will be exclusive to McLaren retailers is yellow with green accents inspired by the colours of Ayrton’s race helmet.
The McLaren Senna Ride-On is designed for kids 3 to 6-year-olds, although McLaren’s own Formula 1 driver, 20-year-old Lando Norris did manage to squeeze himself into the car and take it for a quick spin to check he was happy with the way it drove.
With Australia’s own Daniel Ricciardo making his way over to McLaren for the 2021 F1 season, could we expect to see him chucking laps in one of these?
The McLaren Senna Ride-On includes features such as working butterfly doors, an authentic push-button start which activates McLaren Senna engine sounds. Plus an infotainment system that can access files from a USB device or SD card. The Senna includes a working brake with brake light function.
Priced at £375 ($685 AUD), the McLaren Senna Ride-On is on the higher end of the kids' ride-on car market, but as far as McLarens go, this is the bargain of the century.
