A new range-topping Mercedes-AMG G 63 has just been priced for Australia, with the Offroad PRO variant packed with a heap of rugged equipment and now available to order from just over $380k before on-road costs.
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO has been priced for Oz, where it’ll arrive with a host of off-road equipment including a walk-on roof-top aluminium tray (accessible via a ladder at the rear), plus rear mud flaps, and a spare wheel holder.
Another feature is a set of rubber floor mats and a separate mat for the boot also feature.
The entire package rides on 20-inch AMG five-twin-spokelight alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain rubber and painted matt black (with glossy rim flanges). While the AMG Traction PRO also offers seven adjustable stages to manage braking torque at each wheel and “improve traction in sand, mud or rocky conditions”.
Meanwhile, trick suspension in the form of AMG’s ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL brings active hydraulic roll stabilisation, with specially tuned larger piston diameters, bigger pressure reservoirs and optimised damper settings designed for off-road use.
The AMG Active Balance Control is said to bring adjustable roll stiffness with three stages – low, mid, and high – to suit terrain ranging from loose rock to fast sand tracks.
The G-Wagen’s powertrain goes untouched, with a 4.0-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo petrol with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, producing 430kW/850Nm sent to all four corners.
Other carryover features include the brand’s MBUX infotainment system with augmented reality, Nappa leather interior, Burmester 3D sound system, wireless smartphone charging, and more.
