Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S Edition 1 coming to Oz

Prestige/performance SUV will spawn a launch edition for its mid-2018 arrival in Australia

Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed that an Edition 1 launch model will be available to Australian buyers from the mid-2018 introduction of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4MATIC+.

While the number of limited edition models that will be available has not been announced, the specification details for the 375kW performance SUV have been firmed up, with unique styling enhancements available over the standard GLC 63 S.

Both the standard SUV and coupé Edition 1 models will be equipped with a Night package in high-gloss black. Depending on paint colour, sports stripes are added to the sides of the vehicle in either yellow or matt graphite grey.

Matt black 21-inch cross-spoke forged wheels are highlighted in either yellow or high-sheen rim flanges. A motorsport inspired aerodynamics package, is added while the yellow variant also includes ceramic brakes.

The interior has also been hotted up with a racing feel. Exclusive sports seats are upholstered in black nappa leather with diamond quilting and yellow contrast topstitching. Black nappa leather with yellow topstitching also enhances the door centre panels, armrests and centre console.

There’s yet more yellow highlights for the instrument cluster and floor mats and on the flat-bottomed performance steering wheel.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S Edition 1 is available to order now.
