2018 Mercedes-Benz C 300 pricing announced
Turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol variants arriving next month will cost morePricing for C 300 variants within the heavily revised 205-series Mercedes-Benz C-Class range has been announced, and all models have risen in price against their pre-update counterparts.
The importer released pricing for the refreshed Mercedes-Benz C-Class range at the end of August, but prices for the C 300 were not announced at the time. But with the local media launch set to kick off from tomorrow, the prices for C 300 are now out in public.
The Mercedes-Benz C 300 sedan and wagon have both increased by $1500. For the sedan that means a lift from $69,900 to $71,400, and the wagon is now priced at $72,400. Mercedes-Benz Australia has raised the price of the C 300 coupe by $1000 to $84,900, and the C 300 Cabriolet is now priced at $101,900.
Offsetting the higher prices, the Mercedes-Benz C 300 models score the revised interior introduced across the C-Class range, which comprises a 12.3-inch 'digital cockpit' and 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Additionally, driver-assist technology like the Active Distance Assist Distronic and Active Steering Assist systems are bundled up in the Driving Assistance Package that is standard for the C 300.
Other features incorporated in this package comprise Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assistant with cross-traffic function and Pre-Safe Plus.
The C-Class range has been facelifted, with cosmetic changes mostly confined to the sheet metal at the front.
Mechanically the mid-life makeover is notable for the new mild-hybrid technology of the entry-level C 200 models, each powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, supplemented by a 10kW electric motor and drawing on an advanced 48-Volt system.
