The first official teaser of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV has been posted online ahead of its official unveiling on April 19.
Following on from both the EQS limousine and the EQE sedan, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is the third EQ model to be based on Benz's latest EVA platform created for large pure-electric vehicles.
Featuring more of a traditional SUV silhouette than the slippery four-door coupe outline of the EQS passenger car, the high-riding model will share all its powertrains with the battery-electric limo and offer a range of up to 600km.
Set to be built alongside the EQS and EQE at the car-maker's Alabama plant in the US, the SUV line-up is expected to kick off with the single-motor 215kW EQS SUV 350 and continue with the 245kW EQS SUV 400 and dual-motor 385kW EQS SUV 580 4MATIC.
At the top of the tree will be the fast 560kW EQS SUV 53 AMG 4MATIC+ that is expected to be capable of a sub-4.0sec 0-100km/h dash.
Inside, the all-electric SUV will come equipped with the option of the car-maker's full-width MBUX Hyperscreen dash.
Catering to families, it's expected the EQS SUV will be offered with a third row of seating, but all will be revealed on April 19.
Following its launch, an ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV will also join the range.
