Mercedes-Benz will open the doors of its newest and largest Australian dealership this weekend. Located on Kingsway on the southern edge of Melbourne's CBD, Mercedes-Benz of Melbourne will celebrate its opening on the 120th anniversary of the automobile (see separate story here).
To help mark the occasion there will be a display of historic Mercedes-Benz models in addition to the full current line-up.
Mercedes-Benz says the new facility is designed for the convenience of customers incorporating two lounges, crèche, valet undercover parking facilities, business centre, personal computers, telephone, fax and photocopying facilities. In addition, customers can be involved in the diagnosis and servicing of their vehicle, through the Active Service Reception. Says M-B, this enables customers to liaise directly with the service technician and watch the service of their vehicle.
The new site is the largest Mercedes-Benz dealership in the southern hemisphere, with the main showroom measuring 2000 square metres.Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and Smart brands will all be sold from the site.
The new service department is the largest workshop facility in Australia for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, comprising four Express Interactive service bays and 37 work bays.
