French tyre manufacturer Michelin is offering punters the chance to put their virtual driving skills to the test with a new competition... and the prize is a racing car seat in Sepang.
Following the success of programs such as Nissan's GT Academy, whose graduates Wolfgang Reip and Florian Strauss formed two of the three drivers that won this year's Bathurst 12 Hour, Michelin's online game 'The Right to Race' promises virtual races an opportunity to drive for real in the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience.
The Michelin Pilot Sport Experience is a once-a-year extravaganza that includes instructional seat time behind the wheel of a Renault Clio Cup and Lamborghini before stepping up to Formula 4 and Formula Le Mans machines.
There are five slots available for the fastest Australians. They will win an all-expenses paid trip to the Sepang circuit in Malaysia, where the experience will be held on 18 July 2015.
Entry is simple. Head to the website and set a qualifying lap before 16 June 2015.
