MINI Australia has released 30 examples of a new special-edition dubbed the Cooper S Clubman Masterpiece Edition.
Priced a cool $10,310 higher than the $44,900 MINI Cooper S wagon on which it’s based, at $55,210 plus on-road costs, MINI says the Masterpiece Edition will compensate buyers with exclusivity and “premium customer value”.
Unique additions include a White Silver metallic exterior paint colour that’s new to Clubman, ‘Masterpiece Edition’ badges on the C-pillars, specific 18-inch alloy wheels finished in dark spectre grey and an individual build plaque commemorating its ‘one of 30’ status.
Standard specifications are enhanced by selective MINI Yours personalisation equipment, including a contrasting black roof, roof rails, mirror caps and bonnet stripes, while the side scuttles are finished in ‘Black Jack’.
Inside, there are MINI Yours ‘Leather Lounge’ seats trimmed in carbon black (powered and heated up front), a Piano Black illuminated MINI Yours interior styling package contrasting with Chrome line interior trims, a MINI Yours sports leather steering wheel, Anthracite headliner and ‘Essentials’ diamond-pattern floor mats.
As per the standard MINI Cooper S Clubman, carryover features include a glass panoramic sunroof, MINI Navigation with 8.8-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging and MINI Head Up Display.
Also unchanged is the 141kW/280Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that consumes 5.9L/100km and accelerates the car to 100km/h in 7.1sec.
“The Cooper S Clubman Masterpiece Edition brings an ultra-exclusive MINI experience,” said MINI Australia general manager Tony Sesto.
“As well as a strong uplift in look and feel – thanks largely to considered inclusions taken from the MINI Yours personalisation program – the Masterpiece Edition offers true exclusivity with its unique exterior and ‘one of 30’ collectability status. It’s an ideal halo for the MINI Cooper S family.”
