Mercedes-Benz is putting the finishing touches to its revised S-Class which is expected to appear in Europe during the first half of 2009.
These recently-snapped Carparazzi pics show the flagship Mercedes is due for minimal changes that concentrate on the usual, easily-modified front and rear elements.
Thus the '09 S-Class is in line for a new front bumper that juts ever so slightly further outward, along with relocated fog lights in a more ornate lower section where the air intakes appear to have adopted a more angular appearance. Carparazzi says the '09 S-Class will pick up LED daylight driving lamps on the outer edges of the headlights, as well as relocated flashers at the bottom edges.
A subtle touch that adds chunkiness to the profile view is the horizontal crease that visually terminates the bulging S-Class rear wheelarch a little earlier, at a level just below the taillights.
The sideview mirrors are new too -- more rounded and elegant than the current model.
At the back, although most would pass it by, the bumper is also new, as are the taillight lenses. Dual rectangular exhaust outlets are integrated neatly into the reworked bumper.
The buzz is that the big Benz will otherwise run the same general specification as this year's model.
