They stretched them, driven them the length of Africa, carved them from ice and made giant Lamingtons in the shape of them (actually we made that one up!)… What is it about MINIs that makes people do with them bizarre things?
The latest bizarre MINI is, in fact a BISAZZA mini. The Italian mosaic tile specialist has dressed four of the top-selling hatches in glass mosaic tiles.
Pictured is the specially commissioned BISAZZA Summer Flowers MINI, one of four built by the Italian glass tile experts. The ‘MINI wears BISAZZA’ quartet was created by Carlo dal Bianco and Marco Braga and are designed as static works of art. Two of the cars are MINI Hardtop models and two are MINI Cabrios.
Following its Australian debut at ‘Saturday In Design’ in Melbourne, the MINI wears BISAZZA Summer Flowers was displayed in Sydney as part of Space Furniture’s Sydney Design 06 exhibit.
The MINI wears BISAZZA Summer Flowers Cooper is now on its way to China for more art exhibition work.
