Mitsubishi has expanded its Triton ute range Down Under, with the return of cab-chassis body styles including club-cab (four seat) options, which now bring the line-up to a whopping 18 variants.
Until now, the Japanese car-maker hasn’t offered a manual transmission, single-, or cab-chassis options for the latest sixth-gen Triton range, which arrived early 2024.
As result of the additions, the Triton range now starts around $9000 cheaper than before, with a new opening price of $34,490 (plus ORCs) for the Triton GLX 4x2 single-cab/chassis manual.
The range-topping Triton GSR 4x4 continues as the flagship grade, priced from just over $63k.
Meanwhile, sub-one-tonne payload versions of more grades, including the GLX, GLX+, and GLX-R have been added, off the back of the success with GLS and GSR grades.
Now offered in single cab, double cab, and club cab (four seat) body styles, Mitsubishi says the new cab-chassis range offers impressive scope for customisation.
“Triton has always been known for its ability to work hard and play hard,” said Bruce Hampel, MMAL’s general manager of product strategy.
“The cab chassis and club cab variants provide customers another opportunity to create a vehicle that suits their lifestyle – from tackling their chosen trade to chasing weekend adventures.”
It’s worth noting that club-cab variants (extended cab) are only available with an automatic transmission in cab-chassis and pick-up forms, while the cab-chassis can be had in single- and dual-cab (double cab) guise with a manual or automatic gearbox.
See below for a full pricing breakdown.
The Triton range continues with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel, good for 150kW/470Nm and paired to a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.
Available to order now, MY25 Triton deliveries of new variants are set to be roll out by June.
